MeasureUp hereby informs you that, in accordance with the provisions of General Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), we will process your data as reflected in this Privacy Policy. Our parent company is located in the EU, specifically in Spain, and that is why all companies controlled by the Media Interactiva Group comply with the GDPR.

In this Privacy Policy, we describe how we collect your personal data, why we collect it, what we do with it, with whom we share it, how we protect it and your options regarding its processing.

This Policy applies to the processing of the personal data that you provide to the company for the provision of its services. When you fill in and submit any of our forms, you must first agree to the terms of this Policy and we will keep a record of that agreement.

2. PURPOSE, LEGITIMACY AND CONSERVATION

We collect and process your personal data via the following forms on our website:

Apply to work with us

  • Purpose: To process your application for potential vacant job positions and to manage your participation in current or future selection processes.
  • Legitimation: Processing is based on the unequivocal consent given by the candidate when they send us their data and CV.
  • Conservation: Received CVs will be stored in our database for a maximum of one year.

Contact us

  • Purpose: To respond to requests for information, handle any issues, and answer questions or queries.
  • Legitimation: Processing is based on the need to send a response after the form has been filled in and sent.
  • Conservation: Your data will be kept in our database for 6 months.

Newsletter

  • Purpose: To send commercial information about our activities and services, including by electronic means.
  • Legitimation: Processing is based on the unequivocal consent given by the user when they fill in the subscription form.
  • Conservation: Your data will be kept until you request the cancellation of your subscription to our promotional messages.

Create account

  • Purpose: To correctly manage the creation of your user account.
  • Legitimation: Processing is based on the execution of a response following the completion and submission of the form.
  • Conservation: Your data will be kept until you exercise your right of deletion.

Product purchases

  • Purpose: To manage the purchasing of products.
  • Legitimation: Processing is based on the execution of a contractual (i.e. sale/purchase) relationship.
  • Conservation: Your data will be stored for the legally required period.
 

3. TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED

We may request the following types of data:

  • Identification and contact data
  • Professional and academic data
  • Economic data (credit card number)

We also automatically collect data about your visit to our website, as described in the Cookie Policy.

MeasureUp does not collect data which could be considered as particularly sensitive, such as: race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health, sexual activity or sexual orientation, biometrics, or genetic data.

It is your responsibility as the data subject to ensure that any data you provide is true, accurate, complete and up-to-date, and you shall be held solely liable for any loss or damage, whether direct or indirect, which may result from failure to comply with this obligation.

In the event that the data provided by a user belongs to a third party who is not the one providing the data, the user must inform the third party of the aspects contained in this Privacy Policy and obtain their authorization to provide its data to MeasureUp.

 

4. RECIPIENTS OF THE DATA

As Data Processors, we may disclose your personal data to third parties for the provision of various services, but we will not do this unless we are obliged to do so by law or unless you have agreed to it, after having been informed and expressed your acceptance.

We share your information with:

  • Our parent company, Media Interactiva Solutions, S.L., which is located in the EU, specifically in Spain. This is why all companies controlled by the Media Interactiva Group comply with the GDPR.
  • Service providers located in the EU, the USA, or other countries outside the EU. These may include: our hosting service, computer specialists or legal advisers. All our employees are contractually obliged to only use provided personal data for the purposes established in the contract and, upon completion of their task, to return or delete said personal data. In these cases, they are required to comply with specially designed personal data protection measures which use EU-approved mechanisms, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) published by the European Commission.
  • By legal obligation: the Spanish Tax Agency, the competent Public Administration, Judges and Courts, etc.
 

5. RIGHTS OF THE INTERESTED PARTIES

You have the right to request confirmation as to whether we are processing your personal data and, if so, to access such data or request its portability.

You have the right to object to the processing of your data (we will always take into account your objection to receiving publicity) and/or to request the deletion of your data.

You may request that we limit the processing of your data in the following cases:

  • While the accuracy of your data is being checked.
  • If the processing is unlawful, but you object to the deletion of your data.
  • When the company does not need your data, but you need it to make or defend a claim.
  • When you have opposed to the processing of your data in order to carry out a task in the public interest or to satisfy a legitimate interest, as long as it is verified that your own motives prevail over the legitimate motives for the processing.

In addition, you may revoke your consent at any time. Please note, however, that after attending to your revocation we may continue to communicate with you when necessary to fulfil our legal obligations or to execute the contract you have with us.

For the correct exercise of your rights, we ask that when submitting your request, you prove your identity by means of a copy of your ID card, or equivalent official document, and identify the company (or companies) to which your data is linked, if applicable. Channels at your disposal:

If you believe that we have not processed your personal data in accordance with the regulations, you may contact our Data Protection Officer at dpo@mediainteractiva.com, indicating «Data Protection Claim «in the subject line.
